Gaming supervisors monitor gaming operations and staff in an assigned area. Circulating among the game tables, they see that all stations and games are taken care of for each shift. It also is accepted for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating regulations for bettors. Supervisors will also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have leadership qualities and A1 communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage staff efficiently and to greet guests in order to endorse return visits. Nearly all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Despite their educational background, however, many supervisors gain experience in other betting jobs before moving into supervisory areas because an understanding of games and casino operations is important for these staff.
